Overall rating: ★★★●★☆☆
A couple of pretty good matches and nothing that wasn't worth watching if you have the time - except maybe the Pure Championship, but that one might be worth watching just for how unusual it was. But nothing that I'd say to go out of your way for either.
- Singles (Dalton Castle vs. Eli Isom)
★★★●★☆☆
Good wrestling and some fun shenanigans. Good way to start the show. - Singles (Jake Atlas vs. Taylor Rust)
★★★●☆☆☆
Struggling to really come up with anything to say about this one. It was fine, I guess. - Trios Tag (VLNCE UNLTD vs. John Walters, LSG & Lee Moriarty)
★★★●☆☆☆
I think the big problem with these large matches is that you either need very well-established and distinctive individual characters to make it clear exactly how each match-up over the course of the overall match works and how it's different from the others, or you need two teams who are perfectly in sync and operate as a cohesive unit. What you usually get is a confusing mess where it's hard to tell what the story is. - Tag Team (The OGK vs. The Briscoes)
★★★●★★☆
The Briscoes have just enough character to catch your attention, and the tag team coordination to hold it. And the OGK aren't bad either. - Pure Championship (Josh Woods vs. Jonathan Gresham)
★★★●☆☆☆
Very weird match. My favourite participant was the referee. - Lucha Rules Six-Man Championship (La Faccion Ingobernable vs. Shane Taylor Promotions)
★★★●★☆☆
Some really cool moves but again the overall story was a bit muddled. It does help that there are clear factions involved though. NJPW does that really well, where almost everyone is in a faction so you get the sense of a unity and cohesion. - Women's Championship (Rok-C vs. Miranda Alize)
★★★●★☆☆
If you're going to have a guest commentator for your inaugural women's championship match, why is it a man? Did Quinn McKay have something more important on? Well Maria Kanellis was right there! Give her a mic! - Men's Championship Elimination Match (Demonic Flamita vs. Brody King vs. EC3 vs. Bandido)
★★★●★★☆
Flamita and Bandido are so impressive. Love to see them. And an elimination match is always welcome.
