Overall rating: ★★★●★★☆
This was an excellent show. Even if you don't normally watch pro wrestling, the Tag and Pure championship matches were fantastic and might win you over. And if you do like pro wrestling and want to see what ROH is like, this is a perfect example.
- Singles (Swerve Strickland vs. Alex Zayne)
★★★●★★☆
This was a bit of a weird one. It was a cool display of athleticism, but looked more like play-fighting than wrestling. They weren't great at hiding the cooperation or making the hits look legitimate. - Singles (Ninja Mack vs. Brian Cage)
★★★●★★☆
Short and sweet. Ninja Mack kept popping up and Brian Cage put him back down. - Jay Lethal
★☆☆○☆☆☆ - Interim Women's Championship (Willow Nightingale vs. Mercedes Martinez)
★★★●★☆☆
Kind of weird that they didn't just call this a #1 contender match, because there is a women's champion and she is actively defending it, so it's not clear why an interim champion should be required. Some behind-the-scenes contractual, bullshit between AEW/ROH and Impact, maybe? Anyway, this match was a little slower than the first two; still good, but not great. A shame, because I like both Nightingale and Martinez. - Tag Championship (The Briscoes vs. FTR)
★★★●★★★
This is tag team wrestling. I expected a lot, and they delivered. Top tier match. - Television Championship (Rhett Titus vs. Suzuki Minoru)
★★★●★☆☆
I always enjoy Suzuki; seeing him in and out of character is like looking at two totally different people. Out of character, a cheerful, friendly old man. In character, a murderous psychopath whose only regret is that he can't kill everyone. - Pure Championship (Josh Woods vs. Wheeler Yuta)
★★★●★★★
I love Pure Rules, and the story of this match was perfectly told. Woods had the advantage of experience, but Yuta was able to adapt on the fly. My eyes were locked to the screen the whole time. - Undisputed ROH Championship (Jonathan Gresham vs. Bandido)
★★★●★★★
Started slow, but they knew what they were doing and the build-up was worth it.
