Tell Me a Story: Truth

They're actually starting to show the connections between the stories now, although the Red Riding Hood one is pretty tenuous. And despite it still being very slow, I am enjoying this show, even if the fairy tale gimmick doesn't really add anything.

Most of Red's story this week is flashbacks, including several to events that Red wasn't present for.
In this episode Red discovers that it was her mother who had the affair, not her father, and it was with TeacherWolf. It's still not clear why he's changed his name, though it probably has something to do with the fact that he murdered Red's mother. Which is a pretty uninteresting reveal, to be honest. "He's a crazy psycho" is pretty lazy as far as character motivations go.

Hansel spends basically the entire episode in this torture dungeon.
The people who've got Hansel are revealed to be working with but not for Big Pig. They're the ones buying the diamonds he stole, but they need the money that Gretel stole from them. They torture Hansel to be sure he doesn't know where the money is and repeat their offer to Gretel to exchange the money for her brother. She spends most of the episode with her gym friend, and they decide they're going to fight back somehow.

He's pretty smug for a dude who's admitted to multiple crimes.
The big reveal of the three pigs story is that Big Pig is actually a cop. He also shows up at Wolf's house and offers him a truce. Since he no longer has anyone to pin the murder on he can't kill Wolf, but he believes that Wolf can't possibly do anything to him, so they're at an impasse and may as well go their separate ways. He has a point, but obviously Wolf is not going to leave it there.

Big Pig should probably just murder this guy and do his best to destroy the evidence, honestly.
The final reveal of the episode is where the connection between Red Riding Hood and the other stories comes in: the torture dungeon that Hansel's being held in is underneath the restaurant where Red's father works, and his new girlfriend is one of the bad guys. I have no idea how that's going to play out, it's just weird. She hasn't even been a significant character before now.
So I guess all three stories are sort of linked now, kind of?
