Impact Rebellion

Overall Rating: ★★★●☆☆☆

Started really well but then got kind of boring. If you watch the first three matches and then stop, you'll have a great time.

  1. Triple Threat (Jay White vs. Chris Sabin vs. Steve Maclin)
    ★★★●★★☆
Maclin looked really cool with his skull face, White played the strategic schemer perfectly, and Sabin makes some incredible moves look easy. Well worth watching.
  2. AAA Reina de Reinas Championship (Taya Valkyrie vs. Deonna Purrazzo)
    ★★★●★☆☆
Decent match. No stand out moments or big surprises.
  3. X-Division Championship Triple Threat (Ace Austin vs. Mike Bailey vs. Trey Miguel)
    ★★★●★★☆
A bit of a slow start but once it got going it really got going. And though all three are good, I'm giving this one six out of seven largely on the merits of Mike Bailey, who is amazing to watch.
  4. Singles (Jonah vs. Ishii Tomohiro)
    ★★★○☆☆☆
Very slow. I think these two both need someone a bit faster and more agile to play against.
  5. Tag Championship Elimination Match (Major Players vs. Jordynne Grace & W Morrissey vs. Good Brothers vs. Johnny Swinger & Zicky Dice vs. Rich Swann & Willie Mack vs. Matt Taven & Mike Bennett vs. Heath & Rhino vs. Violent by Design)
    ★★☆○☆☆☆
I skipped the sections of this match featuring Morrissey and Swann, and what was left was mostly filler. The Heath & Rhino vs. VBD section could have been a good match if it was on its own, though.
  6. Knockouts Championship (Tasha Steelz vs. Rosemary)
    ★★★●☆☆☆
Another slow one, but with some shenanigans to make it a little more interesting than the Jonah/Ishii match.
  7. Men's Championship (Moose vs. Josh Alexander)
    ★★★●☆☆☆
And another slow one. There was a story reason for that - Alexander having to keep his emotions in check because Moose was trying to goad him into losing his cool and making mistakes - but it still wasn't great. And the outcome was pretty obvious from the start.
