NXT In Your House

It's honestly hard to believe, sometimes, that NXT used to be an extremely good show. It's just so incredibly underwhelming now.

1. 3-on-3 Tag (The D'Angelo Family vs. Legado del Fantasma)
   ★★★●★☆☆
   The D'angelo Family's whole gimmick is fucking dumb (in a bad way). And they're dragging Legado del Fantasma down with them. The match was actually pretty decent, aside from the ending, but I just can't with Tony D'Angelo. You can't tell me this guy is a mafia don when his entire crew consists of two guys who wear suit jackets over singlets.
2. Women's Tag Championship (Kayden Carter & Katana Chance vs. Toxic Attraction)
   ★★★●☆☆☆
   I guess I missed that Kacy Catanzaro had changed her name. Odd decision, given that she was already famous pre-WWE, and had used her real name for ages before this. Winder if this means she's moving to the main roster soon?
3. North American Championship (Carmelo Hayes vs. Cameron Grimes)
   ★★★●★☆☆
   A bit slow, but an all right match.
4. Women's Championship (Mandy Rose vs. Wendy Choo)
   ★★★○☆☆☆
   Wendy Choo does not make sense as a title contender. Maybe if there were more women's titles she could be in the running for a lower-tier one (like the United States Championship or Digital Media Championship or something) but the person who acts like a child and likes to sleep a lot is not going to win the brand's main (women's) championship, is she?
5. Men's Tag Championship (Diamond Mine vs. Pretty Deadly)
   ★★★●★☆☆
   Pretty Deadly are great, but the Creeds just aren't very good. On balance, it was ok.
6. Men's Championship (Bron Breakker vs. Joe Gacy)
   ★★★●★☆☆
   He's not as bad as Tony D'Angelo, but Joe Gacy doesn't quite work. It's good that he's toned down the social justice language, because that made me wonder if they even knew whether he was supposed to be sincere or not, but it's still really not clear what his whole deal is. Like, they keep saying he wants "the power that comes with being NXT champion" but... that's not a thing. And even if it were, what would he do with that power? What's his agenda? What does he want and why?
