IMPACT Hard to Kill

Overall Rating: ★★★●☆☆☆

The low score here is not actually reflective of the show I saw; the problem is that they insist on featuring people I refuse to watch on moral grounds. Two matches I have to skip out of seven really drags the score down. The ones I watched were very good though.

The ROH invasion was cool, but I'm not sure it makes sense. Maria Kenellis, Mike Bennet and Matt Taven, sure. But why are Vincent and PCO teaming up with them? And if it's a full-on ROH invasion, seems weird to do the show of friendship with the championship match in the same show. And then Rok-C was present for the women's championship match, but just to watch?

  1. Knockouts Ultimate-X (Chelsea Green vs. Tasha Steelz vs. Lady Frost vs. Jordynne Grace vs. Alisha vs. Rosemary)
    ★★★●★★☆
Ultimate-X is great. Can't really go wrong with it.
  2. X-Division Championship (Steve Maclin vs. Trey Miguel)
    ★★★●★☆☆
A bit slow, but there was some cool bits.
  3. Pure Rules ROH Men's Championship (Chris Sabin vs. Jonathan Gresham)
    ★★★●★★☆
My favourite part of ROH (Pure Rules) is in IMPACT now? Awesome. The commentary team for this match (D'Lo Brown, Ian Riccaboni & Tom Phillips Hannifan) was also extremely good.
  4. Singles (Josh Alexander vs. Jonah)
    ★★★●★★☆
    Jonah is really cool.
  5. Hardcore War (Good Brothers & Violent By Design vs. Heath, Rhino, Eddie Edwards, Willie Mack and Rich Swann)
    ★☆☆○☆☆☆
Not that it matters since I skipped it anyway, but Hardcore War is War Games but in one ring and with no cage. Probably a better idea, to be honest.
  6. Men's Championship (W Morrissey vs. Matt Cardona vs. Moose)
    ★☆☆○☆☆☆
    Skipped.
  7. Texas Deathmatch Knockouts Championship (Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mickey James)
    ★★★●★★☆
OK, weird rules for this one. It's a last one standing match, but you have to pin or submit your opponent and then have them stay down for a ten count. It was pretty cool though.
